· Monday to Friday 8.15am – 4.30pm
Key Objective:
· The role of the Process Instructor / Assessor is to deliver, assess and, where necessary, offer support to OPITO Apprentices and delegates undertaking Process courses in accordance with the awarding body guidelines.
Main Tasks:
- Delivery and assessment of all Process training programmes to Awarding Body standards
· In conjunction with the HR & Quality Assurance Manager assist in the Internal Verification process where appropriate
· Progressive development of the Process programme and the material associated with its delivery
· In conjunction with the Operations Manager maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures
· Ensure all relevant evidence of learning is accurately and correctly documented and accurately completed for each delegate
· Provide feedback and support to delegates on a one-to-one or group basis
· Review course content and delivery methods on a regular basis
· Assist in assessing, changing and offering suggestions for the improvement of Mechanical Engineering training programmes
· Prepare and assist in Internal and External Audits
PERSON SPECIFICATION

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
a) Good knowledge of a Production (Process) plant
b) Working knowledge and understanding of Process operations
c) Working knowledge of safe systems of work and permit to work system.
d) Communication skills
e) Planning and organisational skills
f) Good numeracy, literacy and computing skills
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
a) Minimum of five years industry Process work related experience
b) Appropriate technical Process or equivalent apprenticeship certificate
c) *Current or previous teaching/training and presentation experience
